What this is
Query & Co. is a platform for learning SQL. Right now it is in private beta: access is by invitation, the content changes often and some parts are half built. We say so because it changes what you can expect.
For this private beta, Query & Co. acts as the operational product controller. The contact channel is `pivotdatalabs@gmail.com`. Before payments or a public launch, the formal legal controller details will be completed.
What we ask of you
- That the details you give us are yours. An email address you can reach and a display name you are entitled to use.
- That you are 18 or older. This beta is not intended for minors and we do not verify parental permission.
- That you do not try to get into other people's accounts or work around access limits.
- That you do not use the platform to host or share anything illegal.
Share the queries you write however you like: they are yours.
What we give you
Access to the published content and to your progress, for as long as the beta runs and we keep the service up.
We do not promise availability. This is a beta: it can go down, it can be taken down for maintenance, and it can lose data if something goes badly wrong. We take backups, but we are not giving you a recovery guarantee.
We do not promise you a job. The milestones you unlock inside the platform —First SELECT, Table Radar, Data Detective and similar— are internal Query & Co. achievements. They are not a qualification, a certificate, or anything anyone outside recognises. What does travel with you is being able to write the queries.
Who owns what
- The course content, the characters, the illustrations and the code are ours.
- Whatever you write — queries, feedback, your display name — is yours. If you send us feedback, we use it to improve the product.
How it ends
- You: by deleting your account in Settings, whenever you like and without giving a reason.
- Us: if you use the platform for what these terms forbid, or if we shut the service down. In that case we will give reasonable notice so you can download your data.
Changes
If we change these terms in any way that matters, we will ask you again before you carry on using the platform. Smaller changes are announced by the date above.
